FIRST RADIO SHOW FOR CRUISERS TO LAUNCH ON FM RADIO
Jacksonville, Fla. (December 24, 2009) – Cruise enthusiasts can now get advice, tips, ship reviews and trends on the first ever FM radio cruise show, “Cruise Radio.” Cruise Radio launches Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 and will air 7:30-8:00 am on Sunny 94.1 WSOS, St. Augustine, Florida.
On-air personality Doug Parker has created the first independent cruise radio show to meet the needs of consumers seeking a cutting edge medium for getting the latest news and insider's tips from cruise experts.
Parker, who works at a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida, says "I keep encountering people in their 20’s and 30’s who bypass cruising because they think it's too expensive, too old and too confining. The newest interactive mediums can bridge these misconceptions by giving people a more in-depth intimate look at the reality of cruising."
Each Sunday morning, Parker and his onboard guests will give the latest cruising industry news, port information, insider’s advice on topics ranging from tipping to getting the best bargains plus cruise ship reviews. Cruise experts and journalists will be a weekly contributors to the show. Listeners are invited to submit questions and story ideas to the panel of experts, who will focus on these topics and discussed in upcoming shows.
Parker’s website, CruiseRadio.net, includes a forum, a video library with Parker’s interviews from ports of call, port hotel reviews and cruise industry news. The website also has 16 episodes of Cruise Radio archived which can also be heard on demand.
